On 18 Feb 2016 the newly formed Defense Innovation Unit Experimental (DIUx) is hosting a townhall formatted discussion at their Mountain View offices designed to inform tech company CEOs and other tech leaders on some of the nuances to track when seeking to serve DoD mission.
From their invite:
In an increasingly competitive and fast-moving environment, DoD relies on technical innovation to maintain our Nation’s advantage over potential adversaries. The newly-formed Defense Innovation Unit Experimental (DIUx) serves as a nexus between the non-traditional ecosystems and the DoD in Silicon Valley, identifying potential solutions and matching them to the right customers, contracts and funding sources, within the Services.
To better understand the resources available to you and introduce key local California contacts, join DIUx, the DoD’s Office of Small Business Programs, and the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office/Silicon Valley on February 18, 2016 from 4-6pm for a Small Business Townhall, followed by a networking session and an opportunity to meet with Small Business experts. This session will be interactive, with opportunities for conversation with key personnel from the Department who want to identify technology that can potentially benefit the nation’s security.
