Cloud Communications Alliance and Cyber Threats in the Cloud

Bob Gourley

The Cloud Communications Alliance is an industry peer association dedicated to fostering the growth of cloud communications. They promote awareness, adoption and understanding of cloud communications services and their benefits. In doing so they are enabling and nurturing a key element of cloud disruption and are adding value to billions of people in doing so.

CTOvision readers recognize, of course, that the great capabilities that enable cloud communications, like the growing ubiquity of broadband and the globally connected Internet itself, also enable new methods for threat actors to attack. There are cyber threats to the way we people and our businesses and technology connect and communicate.

This is why I’m very happy that the Cloud Communications Alliance has decided to add cybersecurity as a key agenda topic at their 2016 Conference, to be held in Denver 19 and 20 Sep.  I’ll be sharing insights into threat actors, their evolving methods and mitigation strategies cloud communications providers can leverage to enhance defense.
